A little background info...

Joe Amato has over thirty five years performance experience. His first vocal performance was in the St. Vincent's choir in New York City. As a teenager, he was an original member of the Del-Satins, and sang backup vocals with Dion on his hits "Runaround Sue", "The Wanderer" and many others. During the 1960-1970's Joe performed as lead guitarist and vocalist with Joey Dee and the Starlighters, on the "Peppermint Twist" tour.

Later in his career, Joe became an accredited songwriter for many artists. His biggest thrill was when the great artist, B.B. King recorded his song on his "King of Blues" CD on MCA Records. Joe also sang background vocals on that album.

Joe's knowledge of music was put to work as a radio personality for 12 years on WIXL and WNNJ AM/FM. His weekly specialty shows included "Sunday with Sinatra" - a special four hours of music and information about the "Chairman of the Board" and "Rock and Roll Lives On" - four hours each week featuring Doo-Wop music of the 50's and 60's.

In the early 1990's, Joe joined the world renowned Las Vegas production company "Legends in Concert". Spending more that seven years with them traveling around the United States and overseas. His impersonations of Frank Sinatra, Rodney Dangerfield, and Conway Twitty pleased and astounded all.

Expanding his talents, Joe acted in the dinner theater production of "Vito and Angela's Wedding", and "Grandma Capolla's Funeral". He was also seen in the Oscar winning movie "Leaving Las Vegas" with Nicolas Cage and Elizabeth Shue.
